Fourth of July was a little more special this year since it was Sweet Girls’ first time celebrating! We pulled out all the stops – multiple outfits, bows and a new dessert recipe! We were so curious to see how she would react to the fireworks as it’s an annual tradition for Dan and his friends to purchase a few too many and light them off! They are kids at heart!

To our surprise, she did pretty well for being so close. There was only one that she seemed to not like whatsoever! I was surprised as I have very sensitive ears and as a kid was known to run in the opposite direction if I didn’t like the noises, ha! I prayed she did not get my sensitive ears and from what we saw I think we are in the clear! I had planned for 3 outfits and bought 5 bows – excessive I know but she only gets one 1st Fourth of July, right? We got to two outfits and two bows so I was pleased!

Now for my new dessert recipe! I originally found this recipe on Pinterest, however, most of it was made by scratch and as a busy mama I was not doing that. So with a few ingredients I made this dessert the morning of and everyone loved it! Now, I wish I could get mine to look as gorgeous as the recipe that inspired this dish – but I am not that talented. Instead, this is an easy, mama approved, summer time recipe that will have the whole family coming for seconds! I know mine did.
